NEXIT: List of CBN Empowerment Programmes for Exited Npower Beneficiaries

The Federal Government of Nigeria recently gave an update as regards to the various opportunities opened for the exited Npower beneficiaries.

According to the update which was posted on its Twitter handle, it stated that the Central Bank of Nigeria in collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development has developed a website portal for exited Npower_ng beneficiaries to log on and apply for the various economic empowerment and entrepreneurship programmes sponsored by the CBN which include:

  • The Anchor Borrowers Program (ABP)
  • The AGSMEIS Loan
  • BOI GEEP Loan

Anchor Borrowers’ Program (ABP):

The Anchor Borrowers Program (ABP) which was launched by President Muhammadu Buhari (GCFR) on November 17, 2015, through the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) in line with its developmental function, is intended to create a linkage between anchor companies involved in the processing and smallholder farmers (SHFs) of the required key agricultural commodities. The focal point of this program is the provision of farm inputs in kind and cash (for farm labor) to smallholder farmers to boost production.

In respect to the above made statement, it could be said that the Nigeria youth investment fund NYIF could be part of the CBN Nexit opportunities.


This is a Federal Government intervention funds scheme through the Central Bank of Nigeria that promotes Agricultural businesses as a vehicle for sustainable economic development and employment generation.
